Hey, guys, it’s been slower than slow, so I thought I’d make a SOTM post for December! This time around, with a bit of help, I picked JimSturgess.org, a website dedicated to the actor best known for his role in Across the Universe as well as the upcoming 21. Congratulations, you guys! Short hiatus, going away for a week. |
|
November 20, 2007 |
|
Hello, everyone. I thought I ought to post this now instead of later since almost every American in the U.S. might be concerning themselves with Turkey Day and travel plans and whatnot.
I’m one of them. Sort of.
I’m going on a short holiday to New York and will be back next Wednesday. Unfortunately, I wont have internet access with me as I’m packing my laptop but leaving it under my bed for safety. Hopefully by then there will be something new to update on. Keep the tag board going, just play nice! By the time I get back, I really hope to find out more about Adam , so keep your fingers crossed. As always, I hope everyone has a brilliant holiday, or Thursday, and a safe weekend no matter what you’re doing.

Lots of gallery updates and lookalikes. |
|
November 10, 2007 |
|
Well, hello, hello. I hadn’t realized it’d been so long between my last update and that I’d added so much, but sometimes we get carried away by things. First off, I added a lookalike to the Lookalike page, as pointed out by Savvy. Go over there to check it out. I actually happen to agree! Adrian could be his tanner, more Mediterranean half-brother.
I also updated the gallery - obviously. Thanks for putting up with my Journey’s End archiving and whatnot. I’m going back to New York in about two weeks and I only wish I could go back and see that play again. Don’t let me get sentimental. Once again, thanks to Stacie for the scan.

Brand new layout and more pictures. |
|
November 6, 2007 |
|
Hey, guys. First thing’s first - HDi has a BRAND new layout! What do you think of it? Be sure to leave your feedback here or in the chatbox. It means a lot. I’m still making a few very subtle changes, so if things look a bit wonky (tables stretched out too far, etc), pay no attention. Everything should be in ship shape in about a day or so.
I also added lots of more pictures from the Glamour WOTY Awards. Enjoy!

Idol Conversation: HDi’s Exclusive Interview with Hugh Dancy |
|
November 2, 2007 |
|
November 1st, 2007 will live on as a great day for HughDancy.info. It isn’t often that a regular fan site gets an exclusive interview with the person to whom their site is dedicated. However, at just a few minutes after nine, I received the call and spoke to Hugh one-on-one. For a little over a half hour, we spanned everything from his career in movies, theatre, and television, to all the little bits in between.
Hugh Dancy has been in mainstream film for about five years now, though he has just recently received notoriety and “street cred” due in part to his performances in Evening, The Jane Austen Book Club, and “Elizabeth I” (an HBO/Channel 4 production which swept the Emmys and Golden Globes).
Additionally, he recently starred as Dennis Stanhope in the critically acclaimed Broadway play, Journey’s End, for which he received a Drama League Awards nomination for “Best Distinguished Role,” as well as comparisons to Laurence Olivier, the man who originated the role on London’s West End in 1929.
Despite its final curtain call on June 10th, 2007, (incidentally, the same night it won the Best Play Revival at the 61st Annual Tony Awards), Hugh expressed his interest in continuing to do theatre both on Broadway and the West End. That led to the question of where he’d like to be in five years. “I’ve never been very good with these questions, because I think five years ago if I’d answered, I wouldn’t have been anywhere near where I am now. But I suppose you could say if I had my choice, I’d like to keep exploring new material for myself. I feel like I haven’t [done projects] entirely to my desire, to my love; and also [I’d like] to be able to move between film and theatre.” (Ask any fan and they’ll agree in unison that he already seems to be at that place in his career, but I kept that to myself and continued the interview.)
