New layout!

Hey guys! Like I said I would, I launched the new layout. Feedback from everyone is ENDLESSLY appreciated, so whether it’s constructive or just a small comment (or if you see a big, fat mistake I made), don’t hesitate to tell me. I actually think this one is easier on the eyes, less harsh and whatnot. Something about the relaxing, neutral grays and reds.

I also added some gallery additions. One Spanish poster for Beyond the Gates (when it was still called Shooting Dogs), one still from B&C, the Blu-Ray DVD cover (talk about cheesy), and a behind the scenes shot from Evening. If you don’t catch Hugh right away or you’re not convinced, look closer. He’s the one below the hat next to screenwriter Michael Cunningham. I can’t wait for more media from this movie!

The computer update as of today.

I have good news…I got a new laptop!

Bad news, it wont come for another four days. So unless it’s prevalent news, the site will probably not be updated, at least not the gallery. Using my mom’s computer will be a temporary solution and because of that, she doesn’t fancy me downloading and installing my software, working from her computer like it’s my own. So the gallery will lie dorment for what looks to be a week, at the most, and then another five or six days while I’m on vacation.

In semi-Hugh news, the Blood and Chocolate DVD will be released May 29th in the USA and Canada. Features include widescreen format, director’s commentary and 15 deleted scenes.

Another thing. Tomorrow - this Saturday - WABC-TV (Channel 7) will air “Broadway Backstage: Spring Preview,” a special including an interview with Hugh in promo for Journey’s End. Unfortunately, it only airs out of NYC, but I will try my hardest to get the interview/get what I can from it. Here is the official press release for it. It’s nice that they’re still trying to promote this show! Stark Sand’s official website removed his personal message. I don’t know how that looks for the show, but I’ve got my fingers/toes/eyes crossed.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HUGHDANCY.INFO!

As the title indicates, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HUGHDANCY.INFO! Exactly one year ago today, Liron launched it to the web and Hugh Dancy fans. If not for her endeavors and hard work, it wouldn’t be half the site it is today. So thank you, Liron, and thank you to the loyal visitors who just keep coming day after day!

D’accord, as something as a “present”, I added - ahem - 2,000 screencaps from Blood and Chocolate, DVD quality. I would have done it anyway, but shhh, it was a big labor of love! Past all of those, I also added a scan from Us Weekly (thanks to Stacie) and a few more shots from the opening night of Journey’s End.

Aaaaand in the press section, we have a new article which features many new quotes/great compliments to Hugh. You can read that here or here. I’m not very sure of HDi is the fansite they refer to in the 3rd paragraph, but you never know. I can’t remember ever saying I have “soooo many new pictures to add.”

HDi also has a brand new Top Affiliate, JA-Central.org, a Jessica Alba fansite.

• 0001 x Us Weekly
• 0010 x February 22nd: “Journey’s End” Opening Night
• 2000 x Blood and Chocolate: Screencaps

And yet again, another new interview.

Here comes a quick update:

I added another interview to the Press section, this time an interview from the New York Post. You can read it via this site or the New York Post. It’s an excellent, entertaining interview, yet again. Topics include wolves, Def Lepperd, and getting meat shoves down his trousers. Here’s a preview:

HW: How did you and Agnes break up the tension?
HD: Funny you should ask that, because suddenly I have memories of singing Def Lepperd songs. Wasn’t a decision we took, but it did happen. And I’m not ashamed to admit it. But that’s kind of what you do, spend hours of down time singing totally inane renditions of power metal.

HW: What are some of your favorite werewolf movies? I mean, mine has to be An American Werewolf in London.
HD: Yeah, that’s definitely the benchmark. You can’t beat American Werewolf in London because it took the old myths and put it right, slap, bang into what was then a modern context. And makes it believable but with a serious kind of wink at the camera. A good sense of humor about it. I love that movie.

New Hugh interview. Answers a lot of questions.

On the day Blood and Chocolate is getting its release (I’m seeing it tomorrow at 3), there’s also a VERY informative new Hugh interview from About.com. As it’s so large, I’m not including all of it on this main page. There’s a link to it again in the Press section and you can start reading it here. Here’s a snippet:

Were you into werewolves as a kid?
I think I was probably more about the vampires, to be honest with you. Although I do seem to remember when I was a kid – a small kid – and my sister was even smaller, she couldn’t get to sleep one night because she was convinced there were werewolves under her bed. I had to go and stamp on them and kill them so she could sleep. I just remembered that. But by and large, I was more in the vampire line.

There’s more where that came from in the actual interview. He also answered several movie questions. Apparently he’s not doing Bronte. The sidebar and filmography will be updated accordingly. I’ll also be adding a new biography soon and I’ve even started working on a new layout.
