New candids.

Only a quick update to note that I added semi-new candids from October the 2nd. Thank you to my good friend and constant contributor Kylen for these. :)

Remember to join the Forum if you’ve yet to. :D Thank you to everyone that has contributed so far, but it could be even bigger, and I promise, we’re a nice, not-so-crazy bunch.

New candid, new SOTM, new poll!

Lots of new things today, in case the title wasn’t any indication. First of all, I added one new candid (am hoping to acquire more) of Hugh and girlfriend Claire Danes strolling out in New York after going to the gym. I also added some more stragglers to the gallery from the premiere of The Jane Austen Book Club.

In addition, HDi has a brand new SOTM for October, ElijahNet. The site definitely is amazing, so check it out whether you’re an Elijah fan. Furthermore, I closed the September Monthly Poll and replaced it with the October one.

Definitely check and see if The Jane Austen Book Club is being released in one of your theatres this coming Friday. Websites like MovieFone, Zap2It, and IMDb can help in that department, or even the official website of your preferred theatre. It’s set to be released in 800 more theatres this friday (domestically) and who knows, it could be coming to one of yours!

Claire articles mention Hugh.

I found a Claire Danes article in which she mentions Hugh as an influence (as well as her ex, Billy Crudup) in her decision to go on Broadway, as well as an asset in attempting to master the cockney accent. You can read the quotes below, yourself.

Over at Playbill, she also was quoted a couple of days ago as saying that, because of Hugh previously being in Journey’s End, she was already acquainted with director, David Grindley, and cast members, Boyd Gaines, Jefferson Mays, and Kieran Campion. You can read her quote and many others here.

“Both Billy and Hugh care so deeply about theater,” she says. “I was with Billy when he did ‘The Pillowman,’ and he was so enthusiastic about it and so into it. And then I was with Hugh when he did ‘Journey’s End.’

“So, I’ve been very intimate with people who have taken on the massive challenge of a stage production. I wanted to give it a shot, too.”

. . .

“The accent is something I’m going to have to take very seriously,” says Danes, who was born and raised in Manhattan’s Soho district, where she still lives. “Even English people can get a Cockney accent wrong. But it is handy for me that Hugh’s British.”
