The folks at WPS1 Art Radio sent me an e-mail as an alert that they interviewed Hugh on the 8th and posted it on their website. You can download it from them or from us in the Audio section, but I warn you that our version is a bit wonky, has a delayed beginning, and is a bit more muffled. It’s up for posterity. Either way, it’s a great interview.

It’s been a good year for boyish Brit, Hugh Dancy. This summer’s film Evening may have won mixed reviews but Dancy scored as a boozy F. Scott Fitzgerald-style bisexual in the starry adaptation of Susan Minot’s novel. Last spring’s Tony-winning revival of the WWI drama Journey’s End marked Dancy’s well-received Broadway debut and now in The Jane Austen Book Club he stands out in another ensemble cast – as the film’s shot of testosterone. The Jane Austen film, scripted and directed by Robin Swicord, gifts major roles to five actresses, including Kathy Baker, Maria Bello, and Emily Blunt, who find better sex lives and happiness from reading Austen’s six novels. Oh, and Dancy has also become a tabloid feature as well, thanks to his affair with Claire Danes, his Evening costar. (17 minutes)

First thing’s first: I added even more shots from the LA premiere of The Jane Austen Book Club. Some are HQ, some aren’t, but enjoy either way!

I also added tons of media in both Audio and Video (and got my computer back - yay!). First off, I uploaded the NYPR interview between Hugh and Robin Swicord, which is about 18 minutes long and is pretty entertaining. I also added Clip 6 and 7 from Book Club which you can download or watch at HDi’s YouTube Channel. I also added two premiere clips, though Hugh is not interviewed, unfortunately.

Finally, I was browsing Amazon earlier and came across this little find. Hugh has apparently lent his voice to another project! This time, it’s an audio book for George’s Secret Key to the Universe, a book written by Stephen and Lucy Hawking. Check out the cover and a short description below.

Stephen Hawking, author of the multi-million copy bestselling A Brief History of Time, and his daughter, Lucy, explain the universe to readers of all ages. George’s parents, who have always been wary of technology, warn him about their new neighbors: Eric is a scientist and his daughter, Annie, seems to be following in his footsteps. Sounds pretty cool to me.

Good afternoon, how’s everyone doing? First and foremost, I added a new Audio interview of a Hugh press junket conducted a couple of months ago. You can also listen to it directly here if you so wish.

HDi also has one new affiliate, and another site of mine, Luke MacFarlane Online. Luke a terrific Canadian-born actor whom has a frequent guest starring role on Brothers & Sisters as Scotty Wandell. The design will seem awfully familiar, but definitely check it out!

Hello again. How’s everyone’s Monday?

First off, with thanks to Michael Sporn, I added some audio of Hugh reading an Edgar Allan Poe poem, “Annabel Lee.” His voice is slightly different as he’s in character, but there’s something about a man reading poetry. Thanks again, Michael, for giving me the go. You can download it at Audio.
