Two new actors added to “Shopaholic” cast.

Some semi-Hugh/Shopaholic news! Sounds good to me.

Joan Cusack and John Goodman have joined the cast of Touchstone Pictures’ “Confessions of a Shopaholic.” Isla Fisher has already boarded the comedy as the star.

Film is based on the bestselling Sophie Kinsella novel, which centers on a woman who must deal with the stresses of mounting credit card debt while trying to navigate the New York magazine world. Goodman and Cusack will play the parents of Fisher’s character. Hugh Dancy and Krysten Ritter also star.

P.J. Hogan is directing, and Jerry Bruckheimer produces. Film is lensing in New York and Connecticut.

Cusack (”Friends With Money”) will appear in the upcoming film “Kit Kittredge: An American Girl Mystery.”

Goodman will next be seen in Warner Bros.’ “Speed Racer.” He recently lent his voice to the DreamWorks animated film “Bee Movie” and co-starred in Universal’s “Evan Almighty.”

    Hi Anna,
It’s me moaning again about abuse of the English language - I really can’t do with that word “lensing” - YUK!! What kind of a verb is that? Okay I feel better now - sorry!
