Angela Workman, the writer and director of Brontë, one of Hugh’s upcoming films, updated this blog and shared a tidbit on the casting of Hugh as “George Smith.”
The scenes set in London must play in rich contrast against everything back home. Hugh Dancy, who is so eager to play the role of the publisher George Smith, is the perfect embodiment of this youthful, brilliant, shining young man born to a higher class than the other young men in this story, and for whom Charlotte develops an enormous passion against every sensible instinct. I’ve cast Hugh as the ideal foil to both Branwell and Arthur.Mind you, the filming hasn’t started, this is just her “vision.” Can’t wait to see how it progresses! I’m just glad it’s getting off the ground.
And slightly unrelated, I’m going to urge you not to upload your own pictures to the gallery. If you would like to see your art in the Fan Art section, drop an e-mail to me and include your work. Keep in mind that some knowledge of Photoshop/PSP is required.
I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable New Year. :]
