2007 – Seattle International Film Festival Golden Space Needle Audience Awards

• Nominated, Best Actor for Evening.
Claire Danes was also nominated in the Best Actress category, as well as Mads Mikkelson for Prague, Hugh’s co-star in King Arthur. Both lost to Daniel Bruhl of Salvador.

2007 – 73rd Annual Drama League Awards

• Nominated, Distinguished Performance Award for Journey’s End.
Journey’s End won for Distinguished Revival and was also nominated for Distinguished Performance for Boyd Gaines.

2006 – 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards

• Nominated, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie for Elizabeth I.
Elizabeth I won for Miniseries, Best Actress for Helen Mirren, Director, Supporting Actor for Jeremy Irons, Casting, Costume Design, Writing, Art Direction, Hairstyling, and various other technical awards.

2006 – Satellite TV Awards

• Nominated, Best Actor in a Miniseries or a Motion Picture Made for Television for Elizabeth I.
Elizabeth I was also nominated for Best Actress in a Miniseries and Best Miniseries.
