WOW! Hugh is up for a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for his performance in The Pride. The play, itself, is also nominated for SIX awards at the award ceremony, which are set to be handed out on May 2. Nominations include:
- Outstanding Director: Joe Mantello
- Outstanding Lead Actor: Hugh Dancy
- Outstanding Featured Actor: Adam James
- Outstanding Featured Actress: Andrea Riseborough
- Outstanding Scenic Design: David Zinn
- Outstanding Lighting Design: Paul Gallo
A full list of nominations are located at Playbill.com. We only wish Ben Whishaw could have garnered a nomination, as he was just as exceptional in the play as Hugh.
OutNow.ch released stills from Hugh’s up-and-coming romantic comedy, Coach. Pictures are in the gallery and – lucky us – they’re all of Hugh.

The producers have also managed to create a new poster, which is, thankfully enough, not as abysmal as the last poster. Click to launch the gallery and view larger.

Hell everyone. Well, apologies for my complete and utter absence. I caught the horrible flu bug in New York City (only hours after I saw The Pride!), but I did manage to see the play. What an accomplishment to the cast and crew of this exquisite play. Please see it before it closes in less than ten days, if you are able to. They have truly outdone themselves. It was a complete joy to watch!
Enjoy these fantastic photos of Hugh taken at the stage door, including two snapped while I met him by my mate Heather (my face is pixelated). If you have any photos you’ve snapped of Hugh, feel free to submit them and they will be posted to the site.
